NFW is an annual fashion event that showcases designers and opens them to opportunities in the burgeoning design and creative industry.
The Largest Fashion Week in Kenya was first hosted at The Hilton Hotel in 2013 and after a single season, established itself as a nationally recognized fashion event. The NFW team’s commitment is to exponentially grow with each installment, creating a hub of designers, stylists and other industry professionals who shape this unique experience.
NFW is largely a three days event that showcases local, national and international designers by providing a progressive environment for them to promote their work and gain necessary publicity and marketing.
NFW majors on strengthening and promoting unique African inspired designs, fabrics and accessories. Through this, it also create opportunities for models, stylists, backstage managers, choreographers, make-up artists, cosmetic brands, hair stylists, photographers, cinematographers, performing artists and sponsors to collaborate and also to create visibility for the brands.
So far, six seasons of catwalks have established Nairobi Fashion Week’s reputation of growth. The event’s 14 catwalks have showcased over 125 emerging and established African-influenced fashion designers to an estimated crowd of more than 15,500 guests and VIPs.
Nairobi Fashion Week has won “FASHION EVENT OF THE YEAR” in 2016 during the KenyaBuzz People’s Choice Awards. Over 300 exhibitors and industry professionals have exhibited their brands during the previous events.
